PITFA
In Dec. 07, CAIR-MI unveiled a new training program called "Presenting Islam to Fellow Americans" (PITFA), which introduces Muslims about how to discuss Islam and Muslim issues with interfaith audiences to fellow co-workers/students. We have successfully held these presentations in Flint, Lansing, Rochester Hills, Dearborn, and Canton reaching the eyes and ears of hundreds of Muslims. The presentations that we believe are a primary foundation to helping our community present Islam in a more refine manner are:
- Best practices of public speaking
- Understanding the 'American" psyche
- How to answer the most frequently asked questions
about Muslims and Islam
In continued efforts to increase understanding and dialogue between American Muslims and the broader American Community, CAIR-MI has revamped and retooled the Presenting Islam to Fellow Americans workshop (PITFA Module 2). This new and more detail oriented workshop will deal with direct communications between American Muslims and all Americans alike.
